The LA Leakers drop a new cut by Top Dawg Entertainment lyricists Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul, who go jacking for beats on a track titled “Sail.” You may recognize the tune, which is a hypnotic jam by electronic rock band Awolnation that sounds like it would be played during an uprising.

K. Dot and Soul-O keep the original chorus and admit that things have indeed changed through introspective raps about adapting to fame and relationships with women. The good kid, M.A.A.D. City rapper spits lines about not recognizing himself in the mirror, but how these changes won’t effect his ability to love. On the flip side, Ab-Soul opts to kick upper echelon rhymes about being a vessel for the betterment of man.

As of late, the TDE camp has been all over the Internets. This wave of new music began with Kendrick Lamar’s “B***h Don’t Kill My Vibe” remix, featuring Jay-Z, and it was continued by the Boi- 1nda-produced first single from ScHoolboy Q’s OxyMoron, “Yay Yay.” 2013 looks like it may be the west coast collective’s year. Hear “Sail” below.
