“Bad” took off almost immediately after Wale released his Folarin mixtape. So much so that the sultry cut has become the leading single from the MMG rapper’s forthcoming LP, The Gifted. With Tiara Thomas by his side, the DMV native further promoted the track with an intimate performance on NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.

The live rendition was backed by none other than the legendary Roots crew, and Thomas, who had her acoustic guitar in tow. Last night was the first televised performance for “Bad,” which sounded even better live.

Wale recently dropped a pair of thought provoking of visuals. One being “Bad,” featuring Eddie Murphy’s fully grown daughter Bria Murphy as the leading lady, who’s coming to grips with some of her imperfections. The other was a formal announcement for The Gifted, scheduled to hit stores June 25.

Check out the footage from Jimmy Fallon below.
