Soft spoken lyricist Ab-Soul can speak as sparingly as he pleases if he continues to drop tracks like “The End Is Near.” The song released out the blue just moments ago, and features Mac Miller, who also produced the record under his Larry Fisherman moniker.

Expect a cut that’s as spatial as the TDE representer’s topic matter, as Soul-O fiddles with the emotions of struggle rappers near and far by flaunting elaborate flows and cadences in a way that says “Buddy, you’ll never be as nice as I am.”

Miller puts his best foot forth to aid Soul’s efforts to make lames pay respect with a closing verse full of comedic, witty lines. The California native gets the best of the “S.D.S.” rapper here, but we’ll let him slide due to his hard work on the eerie beat.

At the moment, it’s unclear if “The End Is Near” will land on any project in particular. Hopefully Ab-Soul will release his collaborative album with JMSN Unit 6 sooner than later. Fans should also know that Miller is prepping Watching Movies With The Sound Off, which drops in the near future.
