As expected, those rumors are true that Infinity Ward is looking to develop a new Call of Duty game for next-gen gamers.

Today, the studio tweeted an image to their 550k followers of a splintered and broken Ghost face. No further details on Call of Duty: Ghosts were revealed, though Activision is expected to unveil the title in full later today and during Xbox’s next-gen debut  on May 21st.

After retailers Amazon and GameStop announced their acceptance for preorders, the latter’s product page suggested that Call of Duty: Ghosts would launch November 5, which tallies with a leaked promotional poster.

Activison hopes to “deliver a riveting all-new gameplay experience built on an entirely new story, setting and cast of characters, all powered by a new, next generation Call of Duty engine that redefines the series for the next generation.” With the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 readying their warships, Activision showed off the game’s official box art and logo (that you can see in the galler) as well as a live action trailer hinting at what this new team exactly has to offer.

With little to nothing else known about Ghosts, what else are you hoping Activision and Infinity Ward will change before the games unveiling on May 21st? Leave your thoughts in the comments or hit us up on Twitter.
