Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories topped Billboard’s album charts selling 339,000 copies in its first week. The feat nets the group their highest chart placing, and the year’s second best first-week sales behind Justin Timberlakes’ The 20/20 Experience.

French Montana’s long-awaited Excuse My French album landed at No. 4.

Falling short of his expectations of selling 200,000 units in week one, the Bad Boy rapper’s release pushed 56,000. The album however topped the R&B/Hip-Hop charts.

Montana’s project was among the most anticipated in the rap game, but suffered release date push backs . Rick Ross, Birdman, Max B, Drake, Lil Wayne, Diddy, and Nicki Minaj are just some of the names on Montana’s guest list.

Receiving mostly tepid critiques from the likes of XXL, Spin, and Rolling Stone, an MTV Hive review attacked the 28-year-old’s look calling him “a rabbit-eyed, witless goon crooner in a Beagle Boy body,” and his Bronx home borough the “depressed womb of hip hop  that hasn’t produced a legitimate star since Big Punisher.”
