Earlier this month, Timbaland revealed some behind the scenes action on the making of Jay-Z‘s Magna Carta Holy Grail album. The Virginia producer also turned heads after sharing that he and Hov had beef. A video released yesterday (July 17) shows Timbo speaking more on the rift, and how he penned an apology song to Jay as well.

Revolt.TV unleashed more exclusive footage of the candid conversation they held with Timbaland, allowing the beat maker to break down the origin of an upcoming song, “Sorry” featuring vocalist, Keri Hilson. Hilson, who had a little beef with Beyoncé that was reignited by fans of the Houston singer on Twitter earlier this year, also apologizes to Jay’s better half.

“We cop the same Range, we talk to the same dames/ same thangs, same lane/Now we see each other, don’t even speak/That’s f-cked up. I missed your 40th and that hurt me so deep/ Accept my apology, my apology, ni**a please,” raps Timbaland on the track.

The Beyoncé and Keri Hilson beef has been going on since 2009, this after a remix to Hilson’s “Turning Me On” was seen as a diss towards the Destiny’s Child singer. Although Hilson has long maintained that was not her intent, she still felt compelled to offer an olive branch all the same.

Check out Timbaland talking about “Sorry” in the clip below.
