Another week, another influx of musical releases from all sorts of artists. Knowing that it can be difficult keeping up with the ever changing blogosphere, we present to you another dosage of The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.

Lyricism was on full display in many of these tracks. We also saw a list of up-and-coming MCs show and prove their worth as rising talent and give elder statesmen a run for their money in the process.

One release comes from a trio of Chicago’s bubbling community of lyricists. On another, one of Hip-Hop’s grittiest producers calls on a few of his rapper friends for a trifecta of mean verses.

But that’s enough for the clues. Hit the jump to hear the best music the last seven days had to offer. Enjoy.

Pete Rock & Camp Lo ft. Uncle Murda – “Clean Getaway”

Multiple generations of noteworthy NYC talent collaborated and delivered. Simple as that. Clap for them.

Nipsey Hussle – “Blessings”

Any sighting from Neighborhood Nipsey is appreciated, because you can always expect a quality offering. This is no different.

Stalley – “Raise Your Weapons”

The MMG wordsmith motioned for a call to arms, literally, on this heartfelt tune. You have to respect it.

Mick Jenkins ft. Chance The Rapper & Vic Mensa – “Cross Roads”

Chicago MC Mick Jenkins trades bars with fellow Windy City natives/SAVEMONEY representatives Chance The Rapper and Vic Mensa over smooth production. Oh, we have time for that.

Troy Ave – “Hot Out” (Prod. by Scram Jones)

Anyone currently residing in the northeast will attest to Powder’s perfectly timed release. It’s hotter than Hades’ toenails outside. That and the overall quality of the track make it a worthy selection.

Freddie Gibbs & Madlib ft. Karriem Wiggins – “City”

Fans have been eagerly waiting to see what Gangsta Gibbs and the Beat Conducta are cooking up for their follow-up to their 2012 Shame EP. If this is any indication, we think we’ll be extremely happy with the outcome.

Dom Kennedy – “Erica Part 1”

The Lemeirt Park native has deprived fans of the summer soundtracks he’s known to release. We’re hoping his long-awaited Get Home Safely project will release sooner than later, but until then, feel free to jam out to this.

Big Sean – “Fire”

G.O.O.D. Music is well represented yet again with this heater courtesy of the Detroit native. We need that CDQ, though, bro.

Tech N9ne ft. Kendrick Lamar, ¡Mayday! & Kendall Morgan – “Fragile”

We don’t know if it’s the somber melody or the combination of potent rhymes from Tech and K. Dot, but we just can’t stop listening to this song.

The Alchemist ft. Domo Genesis, Freddie Gibbs, & Hodgy Beats – “Tesla”

Honestly, we had to select the best of three head nod-inspiring tracks from Alan the Chemist’s recently released EP.
