The Game is known for putting his hands on rappers, but reports have been swirling around that the West Coast artist punched NBA star Brandon Jennings at his birthday party. While partying at a Los Angeles nightclub this past weekend, The Game allegedly hauled off on Jennings over the use of a deejay’s microphone.

HipHopHollywood reported on the the dust up between the Detroit Pistons guard and the Compton native inside Lure during its “Toxic” party. Jennings was there celebrating his 24th birthday and reportedly grabbed the microphone. The Game was said to be angered by Jennings’ overusing the microphone and the pair argued, which then led to the reported punch.

From HipHopHollywood:

Jennings was at Lure hosting his birthday party with friends, which didn’t sit well with the Compton rapper who frequents the club.

“Game feels like Toxic is his, and he didn’t like that Jennings was hogging the microphone. He felt like he was being disrespected,” one person who witnessed the altercation tells us. “Game tried to have words with him, and it just escalated quickly and Game hit Brandon in the mouth,” another source says.

Security was said to have rushed in and split the pair apart, and HipHopHollywood writes that the club allowed both entourages to stay although another fight broke out which shut down the event. A quick scan of both pair’s Twitter timelines make no mention of the alleged altercation.

Jennings is a native of Lakewood, Calif, the next town east of Compton in Los Angeles County.
