It’s Friday folks, so you know exactly what time it is. After a long week, it’s time to kick off your shoes, recline in your seats, and bless your ears with a quality listening experience via The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Songs Of The Week.

By our standards, this is one of the better assortments of records we’ve come across in quite some time. A wide range of rappers showed and proved, with a particular emphasis coming from a few West Coasters and veterans. One noteworthy release came courtesy of  The Abstract and The Dragon. Another was inspired by a Los Angeles rhymers recent excursion to South America.

The one consistency is that none of the cuts we selected will displease you. See if you agree by scrolling through the offering on the following pages. Did we miss anything? Let us know in the comments section.

Terrace Martin ft. Problem, MURS & ILL Camille – “Something Else (Remix)”

The Los Angeles producer revisited a tune that appeared on his 3ChordFold LP. This time around, the West Coast feel is even more pronounced because of a few worthy additions to the cast.

Like of Pac Div – “São Paulo”

If this is the type of material a vacation to Brazil inspires rappers to create, a few labels need to get their artists out there ASAP.

Vandalyzm – “What That Mouf Do For The Holidays”

When the gifts are unwrapped and the kids are finally sleep, this may be the cardinal question.

YC The Cynic – “Hunts Point Diaspora”

No one can say that NYC no longer breeds true MCs. See above for proof.

Hit-Boy ft. Nipsey Hussle – “Alert”

The HS87 front man called on Neighborhood Nipsey on a tune that’s so West Coast. Your volumes needs to be at ignorant levels for this one.

Willie The Kid ft. Sha Stimuli & Sean Price – “Delirium”

This one is for fans of raw rhymes and a knocking beating; classic Hip-Hop sh*t.

Talib Kweli ft. Raekwon – “Violations”

This line up could bring a Hip-Hop fan to tears. But all of your hopes and dreams are reaffirmed when you press play.

Busta Rhymes & Q-Tip – “Butch & Sundance”

If you thought “Thank You” was a fluke, think again. The veteran MCs have a ton more left in the tank and their pens.

Vic Mensa ft. Chance The Rapper – “Suitcase”

Two of the game’s most promising MCs are in the same clique. Let that marinate for a second after listening to their latest collaborative cut.

Roc Marciano ft. Action Bronson – “456”

If we didn’t know the year, we’d assume Dolemite had this playing in his 8-track player while he made his rounds.
