Although we may be a century removed from seeing flying cars (and a safe air highway to boot), Nike is ensuring that one new wave gadget shown in Back to the Future Part II is coming to reality near you in 2015.
While Valentine’s Day was engulfing hearts during NBA All-Star Weekend 2014, the always reliable Sole Collector was talking sneaker shop with Nike’s version of Steve Jobs: Tinker Hatfield.
During a press talk at the Jordan Brand’s Flight Lab in New Orleans, Hatfield confirmed the futuristic novelty stating, “Are we gonna see power laces in 2015? To that, I say YES!”
Upon the time of the Nike MAG’s release in 2011, the technology had not been mastered but it appears good things happen to those who wait.
