There’s no denying that CyHi The Prynce gets lost in G.O.O.D. Music’s roster, but the southern wordsmith raised brows in recent weeks with an array of new songs and visuals. Some appear on his new mixtape, appropriately titled Black Hystori Project.

The follow-up to CyHi’s 2013 release, Ivy League: Kick Back, has a totally different feel. With history as the basis, there’s a lot of cultural references in his lyrical content and track titles like “Mandela,” “Basquiat,” and previously debuted songs, “Coretta” and “Huey.” On the other hand, this isn’t a concept project. Instead, fans can expect the witty, comedic lines and metaphors we expect the Atlanta native to spit.

King Louie, Jon Connor, and more appear on the mixtape.

It’s also worth noting that CyHi provided a lengthy listening experience at 16-songs. Stream Black Hystori Project below and give us your thoughts on the body of work in the comments.
