Actor Roger Hill, best known for his role as Cyrus in the cult classic film The Warriors, has died. He was 65. 

Reports the New York Daily News:

In director Walter Hill’s “The Warriors,” Hill played Cyrus, the feared gangster who is assassinated during an attempt to unite street gangs and take over the city.

A lifelong New Yorker, Roger Hill spent most of his 20-year career in theater. He appeared in Off-Broadway plays and a touring production of “Hamlet.”

He is survived by his son, Chris Hill, a film editor.

The late Hill also appeared in another cult classic film, The Education of Sonny Carson.
