Legendary MC Raekwon returned to The Breakfast Club to give fans an update on his upcoming LP, F.I.L.A. (Fly International Luxurious Art), to clear up any discrepancies about Wu-Tang Clan’s tentative album, and more.

Hosts Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee, and DJ Envy were quick to ask The Chef about his rumored absence from Wu-Tang’s A Better Tomorrow. “All I can say is it’s business,” Raekwon said. “First of all, you know that’s the mothership. Never ever gonna ever violate that, but at the same time, it’s 20 years later B, and business gotta be done correctly.”

The Staten Island native spoke on the lack of communication in Wu-Tang — more particularly the powers that be behind the scenes. “It got a lot to do with a lot of things, especially paper. Because at the end of the day, I work hard for my paper. I know that I’mma deliver and I’mma make sure that everything that I’m supposed to do I’mma do,” explained Raekwon.

The MC is willing to hash out the differences, but that’s conditional on whether he’s approached with respect and an open ear.
