YG speaks on his criminal past and the time he’s served in prison in great detail on his debut LP, My Krazy Life. While the Compton native’s situation is much better these days, he explained that he hasn’t changed since then during a recent interview with Hot 97’s Angie Martinez.

“You try to avoid it, but it be stuff you can’t avoid,” said YG backed by DJ Mustard. The duo recalled a particular situation at a club. Though the confrontation was ultimately avoided, the Def Jam rapper says it’s difficult not to react.

YG continued, “We didn’t come out looking for problems. We come out to get our money, party, grab some females, bring them back to the room, and have a good time.”

Hear YG speak more on how he’s adapting to his new life and his time in jail in the footage below. You can catch him sliding over to the next room to freestyle with Funkmaster Flex on the next page.
