Now that the ESPYs are behind us, fans can look forward to the next award show spectacle that should provide endless entertainment on social media and water cooler conversation.

We’re talking about the 2014 MTV VMA’s and Hip-Hop is well represented this year.

MTV unveiled the list of nominees earlier this morning and the extensive visuals from rappers have largely been previously posted in the The Wrap Up: Hip-Hop Wired’s Top 10 Videos Of The Week.

As expected, Pharrell’s “Happy” is a favorite for Video of the Year as is Iggy Azalea’s Clueless remake of “Fancy” and the Carter clan’s alcoholic tryst, “Drunk in Love.” Ironically, the lone Neptune is the only male nominee in the top category.

When it comes to the Best Hip-Hop Video slots, Drake (2013’s “Hold On (We’re Going Home)”, Childish Gambino (2013’s “3005”), Kanye West (for 2013’s “Black Skinhead”), Eminem (2013’s “Berzerk”) and Wiz Khalifa (this year’s “We Dem Boyz”). J. Cole, ScHoolboy Q and Angel Haze are also recognized throughout various categories.

The 2014 MTV Video Music Awards air for the first time ever at the Forum in Inglewood, California on August 24. Click here to vote for your favorite videos and continue on through the gallery to see all the Hip-Hop videos in this year’s nominees.
