Yesterday (August 25), Chris Brown’s on again, off again girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, faced the wrath of the BeyHive–one part a fan club, one part a digital firing squad–after she made negative comments about Blue Ivy’s hair during a segment on BET’s 106th & Park. Today, however, the television station has apologized for her comments and affirmed that she’s not to blame.

Stephen G. Hill, the network’s President of Music Programming and Specials, took to Twitter to apologize on behalf of all involved parties. His statements exceeded the 140 characters allotted per tweet on the social network, so his message was split into multiple tweets. Read Hill’s comments below.

Last night on 106th & Park there was a stupid, unthoughtful joke made about a young child. We apologize publically to the child’s parents (and have done so privately) and we have taken punitive actions with those responsible. It was very bad judgment and we will serve you much better in the future.

Oh, and please don’t hate on Karrueche; it was NOT her fault. We also apologize to her for putting her in that position.

Salutes to Hill for going to bat for Tran, though we doubt the BeyHive will care. Hit the jump to see his actual tweets.
