Nick Cannon’s career has taken him all over the map. He’s gone from an actor to a rapper to a Hollywood husband to an activist.
Today (Nov. 17) the Wild ‘N Out host stopped by The Breakfast Club to promote his Gospel of Ike Turn Up mixtape while clearing up a few things that people have been saying about him.
Speaking to Charlamagne, Envy, and Angela Yee, Nick breaks down what he meant when voting wasn’t important, ghostwriting for rappers, and trying – and failing – at being celibate.

1. Political View
Nick Cannon says he didn’t tell people not to vote, he just said that neither Hillary Clinton nor Donald Trump respected their communities and local voting was more important.

2. “Ex” Girlfriends
Nick Cannon says Mariah Carey was his last ex-girlfriend. Every girl he’s been linked to afterwards have just been people he knows, loves, and cares for. He does jokingly say that Common and French Montana’s love lives aren’t in his “league.”

3. Ghost Cannon
Nick says he’s ghostwritten for a few rappers including a bar on Kanye West’s “Gold Digger.” One bar though, not even a Twix or Kit Kat bar.

Even though he’s a huge Drake fan he does say that as an MC/lyricist he doesn’t make the top cut.

5. The Turban
The turban he rocks represents the Moorish mentality but doesn’t subscribe to any specific religion. And yes, the turban does have diamonds on it. Needed something to match them $2 million dollar diamond shoes.

6. Being Celibate
Nick says he attempts to be celibate, but things tend to pop off in his love life. That said he will “never-ever” publicly say who he’s had sexual intercourse with.

Mariah Carey used to tell Nick “I can be with a billionaire” whenever they had an argument. Evidently she wasn’t playing.

8. Rihanna
He confesses to shooting his shot towards Rihanna’s basket. As far as bro-code goes with Chris Brown, Nick says he knew Rihanna before Chris so that doesn’t come into play.

Nick Cannon signed Khelani when she was 16-year-old and homeless. He did make her promise she’d finish high school before signing her.
