Details have been scarce on the Drake-executive produced posthumous Aaliyah album coming called Enough Said, but a new record is unearthed called “Quit Hatin.”
Produced by Knotch, this smooth record also features a the same familiar sample from Tank and Aaliyah’s “Come Over” and most recently A$AP Rocky, Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar’s “F**king Problems.”
The hook which has the late singer saying lyrics like”They say you a baller/ I hear you’re just a player/ And all my friends tell me/ I should have never dated/ But I’m in love with you/ And I’mma have to tell em/ Quit hatin’ on him, don’t be jealous.”
This past week would’ve been the 34th birthday of Miss Haughton, who tragically passed away almost twelve years ago in a plane crash. The controversy surrounding the making of this posthumous album may have slowed production of it, as it is reported that Timbaland and Missy Elliott will not be a part of it.
However, this is a smooth record and it is good to still hear the voice of the late star. Get a listen to “Quit Hatin” after the jump.
