New allegations have sprung forth that Baauer, “Harlem Shake” producer, actually approved of the unofficial remix by Harlem rapper Azealia Banks that sparked their beef. Keeping true to form, the hotheaded Banks took to Instagram last night and posted an earlier email exchange held between her and Baauer that appears to show the pair working amicably together.

Although Baauer claimed in a Daily Beast interview that he “didn’t love” Banks’ version of his smash track, the alleged exchange between he and Banks paints a different story.

“Hey Azealia! Thrilled to hear from you im a big fan of yours,” wrote Bauuer in the email dated Dec. 24, 2012. “The vocal sounds fantastic! I really love the flow on it in the second half especially. Im gonna strip down the beat to make more room for your vocals.” The email continues with Baauer reaching out to Banks to work on an exclusive track together as well.

Baauer did say in the Daily Beast sit-down that the pair discussed the track and elected to keep Banks’ version unreleased. Defiantly, the Interscope signee released the track last week and dropped an accompanying video three days ago without Baauer’s approval to boot. Baauer has yet to respond to the latest from Banks, but it is expected that this story will develop.
