Here’s the deal; Cali MC Blu and producer Bombay are dropping a collaborative project called Good To B Home. We have a new track from said album right here called “Dre Day” that should add it to your “highly anticipated” list.

Like the title implies, Blu drops the occasional slick lyrical references to the Beats By Dre slinger and renowned producer. However, the rhymes are sick regardless of any homages while Bombay’s soul drenched production acts like a booster rocket. Spits Blu, “I clap rappers like award show writers, what’s the doors of your Viper to the doors of a Chrysler/Opportunity knocks, on the window of my limo and offending me/Trying to give advice how I could get on/Ni–a, you couldn’t picture the soundscapes I spit on.”

Blu recently told everydejavu that Good To B Home may be his best record to date. “Bey (Bombay) the Bass God is like a sweet tooth in a candy shop,” said Blu of his collaborator. “I could have made 6 albums with all the goodies he has in the stash. It was almost unfathomable running into some else [sic] on the planet with that much talent and that much work compiled over the years, other than the greats I know and work with already.”

Listen to “Dre Day” below.
