Marco Polo is doing his best to be a one man real Hip-Hop revivalist. The esteemed producer drops a new record called “Back To Work,” featuring New Jersey on again, off again, on again rhyme duo The Artifacts.

The song is another gem from Marco’s upcoming free project, Newport Authority 2. Once again, the record is only being heard now, and for free.99, because sample clearance issues had prevented its release. Tame One and El De Sensei still drops sharp rhymes over a bass heavy, dramatic groove that features scratches from Shylow.

As for Marco Polo, the Canadian production export is batting 1.000. Previously, he dropped “What’s Wrong,” featuring Rakim and “Nite & Day,” featuring Big Daddy Kane.

Newport Authority 2 is still “coming soon” status and will feature Das Efx, Lil Fame of M.O.P., Torae and more. As for Marco Polo’s proper new album, Port Authority 2, it is dropping this spring via Soulspazm Records and will feature  Talib Kweli, DJ Premier, Masta Ace, Rah Digga and many more.
