Quan, known most for his feature on Nas’s song “Just A Moment,” will be another artist going the independent route as he sets his beams on Amalgam Digital.

Formerly stationed with Atlantic Records, Quan and his multimedia company known as Kingz Nation will be working with the rising label to digitally distribute his upcoming releases.

Kingz Nation, which was established by Quan in 2005, contains numerous entertainment outlets that will be utilized in supporting his talent and commitment to fans.

His first scheduled release will be the mixtape “Carry the Tradition,” which will be hosted by DJ Vlad and DJ 4Sho. The first single, “Un,” will be produced by the “Pop Champagne” hit-maker Ron Browz.

Walking Testimony, another release will serve as the album before the actual debut album which is expected to be released in the summer.

In terms of promotion for his debut, there will be a national Block tour, an interactive online/mobile contest, and a new reality show titled, “Walking Testimony TV.”

Amalgam is the home to popular artists such as Joe Budden and Saigon. Budden would serve as the unofficial guinea pig with the release of his latest, Padded Room, which was available to purchase through retail along with Amalgam. Budden also released his critically acclaimed mixtape, Halfway House, through the digital label.

According to the website, Amalgam Digital is a digital audio visual retail platform that puts strong focus on independent urban and genre specific music. The digital machine allows artists who seek exposre n additional stream of revenue and a means for fans to grasp music that they crave for.
