The death toll in Haiti is rising following Tuesday’s 7.0 earthquake with the number dead expected to hit over 100,000.
The Prime Minister of Haiti Jean-Max Bellerive told CNN that although its virtually impossible to get an exact count he fears over 100,000 people in his country are dead.
“Because we have so much people on the streets right now, we don’t know exactly where they were living. But so many, so many buildings, so many neighborhoods totally destroyed, and some neighborhoods we don’t even see people.”
He also added that people are doing their best help each other.
“With maturity, people are trying to take care of themselves in some quiet places. People are trying to help each other on the streets.”
