Churning out content is the name of the game, and that’s been consistent for the past few years. Because of this, a lot of content falls to the wayside due to the uphill battle between popularity, prioritization, and favoritism on the blogosphere.

In this particular case, we’re placing a scope on visuals that were ill, but somehow managed to get lost in the proverbial sauce. And this isn’t a way to pump our favorite up and coming MCs (though some will appear). A few notable veterans also saw their treatments bite the proverbial dust.

Don’t worry, though. We here at Hip-Hop Wired took the time to acknowledge a few thorough visuals that deserve a second look (or perhaps a first).

See the list we assembled after the jump. Did we miss anything? Voice your opinions in the comments.

The Weeknd – “Pretty”

We know that the Toronto native is a singer, but he’s a fixture in the culture. He also dropped one of the better visuals this year. Peep the intricate plot twist.

Audio Push – “Shine”

The Los Angeles duo brought cult classic, Friday, to the small screen. You can’t be mad at that.

Run The Jewels – “36” Chain”

Leave it up to El Producto and Killer Kill From Adamsville to deliver a treatment that’s both intelligently written and comedic.

Dom Kennedy – “South Central Love”

In general, Los Angeles does a great job depicting their day to day lives in their visuals. Dom K. is clearly a student of that lineage.

Big K.R.I.T. – “Bigger Picture”

Marc Eckō directed this extremely artistic take on relationships and how they can go awry.

Scotty ft. Trinidad Jame$ & Big K.R.I.T. – “Game”

The overall tone is southern playeristic in this vid by this Atlanta up-and-comer. Get some of this game they’re kicking.

SHIRT – “Automatic”

This made the list strictly because the [wild] photos in the visual came from the last six months of the NYC rapper’s life.

Danny Brown – “Dip”

The toothless Detroit native, known to be spastic in a calm, drug influenced type of way, captured his natural essence in this video.

Chance The Rapper – “Everybody’s Something”

The message shines through the smooth small screen adaptation for this Acid Rap standout.

Wale ft. French Montana – “Back 2 Ballin'”

If you’re a child of the Sega Genesis/16-bit era, you can’t help but appreciate this one from Folarin.
