Lupe Fiasco made due on his promise to liberate a new track. Titled “Old School Love,” this is a feel good record in the truest sense.
The Chicagorilla spits three verses — one that’s nostalgic in that it speaks on the joys of youth, another that references classic Hip-Hop figures, and a last set of bars that brings his thoughts together. Fiasco is joined by English singer Ed Sheeran, who assists with a very radio friendly chorus. But even with that, the duo managed to create a tune that’s far from a crossover song.
“Old School Love” will appear on Fiasco’s fifth studio album, Tetsuo and Youth, which releases early 2014. A tour coined “Tetsuo and Youth Preview” precede the LP’s release, beginning November 2 in Atlanta. See when the Food & Liquor MC will be in a city near you here.
