Shaquille O’Neal played high school hoops in Newark, New Jersey and the NBA great comes full circle in a new “Brick City” commercial from Reebok Classics. The spot is an ad for the new “Brick City” colorway of the Reebok “Shaq Attack” and features Redman.

“Playing here wasn’t a privilage, it was a dream,” says O’Neal. “One court, one ball, and me. These streets didn’t brake me. They made me.”

O’Neal then goes to Malcolm Shabazz High School in Newark and plays ball with some of the kids. A Redman track can be heard in the background and Funk Doctor Spot also makes an appearance in the clip.

The new “Brick City” Shaq Attack is in stores November 29. The commercial was directed by DRE Films. Yep, the same cats that produce Rick Ross’ videos. Hmm…
