With Honest Cowboy officially in the can (though the shortened EP version continues to be successful on iTunes), Stalley is focusing on his long-awaited debut album. While the title has not been revealed, Hip-Hop Wired sat with the MC to get other details about the LP, discuss his off-kilter flow, and much more.

“I’ve been contemplating on where I want to record this,” said Stalley. “I was up in the mountains in New York recording a lot of Honest Cowboy, but on this one, I might go back home.”

Since an artist’s first major label project is usually their formal introduction to the masses, Stalley says connecting with his family and friends is important and would help him hone into the intelligent trunk music sound that’s become his staple.

“I’m thinking somewhere around second quarter,” the MMG affiliate estimated. That said, fans can certainly expect a new body of work from Stalley early 2014. Hear the wordsmith speak more on the aforementioned topics below.
