Jadakiss, Styles P and Sheek Louch haven’t been known collectively as The LOX for some time now but all that changed in the wee hours of December 18 when they dropped an EP out of the blue.
The speculation behind the four-song project’s sneak attack has varied from a new album deal to Beyoncé causing a chain reaction with artists releasing secret albums.
Whatever the case may be, the album did make noise on the iTunes charts, reaching on #1 on the Rap side and #141 overall for the week it was released. There’s new dirty money to be made in 2014 and the crew from Yonkers wants all the way in.
This morning, December 26, Hot 97 was happy to host the crew as they discussed industry politics (as they’re always willing to do). They also discussed their status as an active recording trio and we were all privy to hearing their blood pressure rise when the dreadful topic of New York radio was brought up.
