David Banner and 9th Wonder are out to change the landscape of Hip-Hop music and put more quality vs. quantity back into the game. Recently speaking exclusively with Hip-Hop Wired, the Grammy award winning producer and MC elaborated on the upcoming project, stating,

“Me and 9th Wonder have an album I’m working on. It’s called the Death Of A Pop Star. D.O.A.P.S. is the acronym and that album is basically me and 9th Wonder saying, “O.K. Everybody’s saying there’s no good music out here so we gonna see what ya’ll gonna do now.”

And Blue, no lie, I don’t even want to brag on it. I’ll let ya’ll hear it. I don’t even want to hear nobody else… no critics, nobody in no magazines talk about our generation’s music after this album. This album is the pill. It is the remedy. It may not be from the person ya’ll want it from but this is the one.”

Peep some footage of the making of the album below as well as their first single “Slow Down.”
