Drake Shouts Out “Brother” Morgan Wallen Despite Country Singer’s Racist Past

Drake is doing that thing again, the thing in which he leeches onto a star’s success in hopes of having some of it rub off on him. Dame Dash has talked about Jay-Z pioneering this clout-cashing artform in which Hov would jump on the remix of a hot song and it would become his song. It’s a blueprint that Drake quickly copied.
Kendrick called all of this out as he was beating the daylights (or is it Daylyt) out of Drake during their recent rap battle. But none of this has stopped Drake from d-riding every professional sports team (Remember when he was a huge Kentucky basketball fan despite having no ties to the team or the state?) athlete, pop star and now country star.
In a recent Instagram post, Drake sent a shoutout to his brother, top-charting country singer Morgan Wallen.
Drake used his huge platform to promote the country singer shouting out…wait, checks notes, Drake.
Champagne Papi shared a video of Wallen in 2016 in which he created his dream lineup and it included, you guessed it, Canadian Screech.
“Hopefully I’m the headliner, I would put Eric Church, Chris Cornell… I would probably put Drake there,” he said in the clip. Drake wrote, “My brother living his words of manifestation fr.”
Despite Wallen’s history of racist comments, Drake’s still trying to hitch his wagon to Wallen’s country success. Last month, Wallen had Drake as a special guest during a show in Houston. The rapper didn’t rap, but he did participate in a walkout, think boxing walkout to the ring, which is a thing Wallen has done a few times and included such legends as Tom Brady, Troy Aikman, Travis Kelce, and Peyton Manning, Complex reports.
Drake had Wallen make an appearance in his For All The Dogs single, “You Broke My Heart,” but the two haven’t made music together, yet, but we know it’s coming.
