The NBA Slam Dunk Contest back? That’s yet to be proven, but after a few years of lackluster showings, 2014 could be another breakout year as reigning champion Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors will defend his title against Indian Pacers star Paul George, Portland Trailblazers guard Damian Lillard, Washington Wizards guard John Wall, Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes, and Sacramento Kings guard Ben McLemore.
Yes, you read that right.
As reported by ESPN, the lineup will be officially announced tonight (February 6) on NBA on TNT. The past few years of the Dunk Contest were dismal in part to a lack of star player. But this will change, as George, Lillard, and Wall will all be play in the actual NBA All Star Game, which takes place in New Orleans on February 16.
