10 years ago 50 Cent was the hottest Rap talent in the world. Now in 2014; not so much. Today the G-Unit boss has chosen to leave Interscope Records to go independent.

Fif’ has sold over 30 million records throughout his career. His success positioned him as one of Hip-Hop’s power players. But recently the Queens native has not produced any impactful music that has matched the public reception of even his more mediocre material.

With his Curtis and Before I Self Destruct his sales, airplay and relevancy have have all progressively declined leaving him in a bit of  a weird space artistically. So just like any other business owner it is looking like 50 is changing his strategy.

But coming from someone who has a history of talking slick about his rival’s financial situation and or recording home, the announcement was met with mixed reviews.

So in light of this we present 15 Twitter reactions to 50 Cent leaving Shady/Aftermath Records. Let us know your thoughts on the move in the comments section.
