ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron released today, February 25, but many had an opportunity to sit with the album after it sprung a leak last week. However, one song titled “Californication,” featuring A$AP Rocky, didn’t make its way to the Internets until today.

The track appears on the Target version of the LP, and happens to be Groovy Q and Rocky’s latest collaboration in their growing catalog of heaters. Like previous releases, “Californication” is a dark, gnarly sonic event that blurs the line between a party-starter and grungy bro music — one that inspires camaraderie among friends. Synths echo as ScHoolboy chants “Californication” repeatedly throughout the chorus.

Within moments, it’ll be clear that this tune is much different than Red Hot Chili Pepper’s classic record of the same name.

Oxymoron is available at stores like Target, as well as iTunes. The LP dons guest appearances by Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock, Tyler, The Creator, Raekwon, 2 Chainz, Kurupt, Suga Free, and more. Stream “Californication” below.
