Rappers go to SXSW to their names out there and their dollars up, in some cases. But wordsmiths like Tree, who has a growing following, have the luxury of capturing the experience on camera for later benefits.
In this case, the Chicago native used his footage from this year’s festival to create a visual for “Stay Away.” Director Bryan Lamb had the cameras rolling at all times, and in turn caught some dope material capturing the Austin, Tex. aesthetic. That, of course, includes some shots of the attractive ladies to accompany a recap of some of Tree’s performances.
“Stay Away” appears on Tree’s The @MCTREEG EP, which released in January. Hear the pain in his rhymes in the clip below, and be sure to keep an eye out for more music from the Midwest spitter this year.
