10. T.I. – “Turn It”
Producer: DJ Toomp
The Kang and Toomp have a long history of creating knocking tracks. This is just the latest in the chamber.
9. Jeezy – “Me Ok”
Producer: Drumma Boy
What is the summer without music from the Snowman? Let’s hope that he has more records like this on the way.
8. Dee-1 – “Jason Geter”
Producer: 5th Child
Dee is one of the more prolific MCs in the game and he’s a hell of a story teller to boot, as inferred by the track above.
7. Nicki Minaj ft. Soulja Boy – “Yasss Bish”
Producer: Soulja Boy
We can’t get jiggy with Soulja’s chorus, but Nicki’s bars are on point. Needless to say that this is great sign of things to come.
6. King Krule ft. Wiki (Of RATKING) & Lucki Eck$ – “Neptune Estate (Remix)”
Producer: King Krule & Rodaidh McDonald
This is the latest addition to Krule and RATKING’s interesting batch of collabs. Their chemistry is insane.
5. Meek Mill ft. Lil’ Durk & Shy Glizzy – “Chi-Raq”
Producer: Vinylz
While Meek had the dominate verse of the trio, it was Durk who set things off with his Tyga diss.
4. Terrace Martin ft. Snoop Dogg & Tone Trezure
Producer: Terrace Martin
Martin and company receive a 10 for creativity for this cut. This one will have you singing the blues in no time.
3. Lil Wayne ft. Drake – “Believe Me”
Producer: Boi-1da & Vinylz
Truthfully, this song will have to grow on some, but the outpour of rappers freestyling to his cut and the track’s overall catchiness will give it some legs. That’s without mentioning that Weezy and Drizzy are two of the biggest rappers in the Hip-Hop.
2. Freddie Gibbs – “Bugatti Bulletholes”
Producer: Vanderslice
Gangsta Gibbs is creating music at an extremely high level these days. Proof can be heard above.
1. Slaughterhouse – “SayDatThen”
Producer: Nottz
The bells and whistles that push Hip-Hop records over the edge are cool and all, but it’s great to hear straight beats and rhymes prevail.
