Police in North Carolina are reporting a horrific scene; a mother and her two daughters killed at the hands of their father before he killed himself.
Police in Charlotte say 33-year-old Kenneth Chapman murdered his wife and two of his children two weeks ago, keeping their murders a secret from their friends and family.
He spared his 10-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son however after the girl promised not to report the deaths.
Concerned relatives of the mother asked the police to visit the house after not hearing from her and when they did, Chapman fired gunshots at them before turning the gun on himself.
Police are deeming the 10-year-old girl as “remarkable” for maintaining her composure while attending school and living in the house with the bodies of her two sisters locked in a bedroom.
The mother’s body was discovered at another apartment across town.
