Indianapolis police were looking for a man  after he and his girlfriend robbed a woman, beat her up and allowed their dog to attack her while they snatched her purse.

“I was robbed,” Terri Henry told ABC News. “I was jumped and bit by a dog.”

According to police, Terri Henry was attacked by her ex-roommate Andrew Thomas and his girlfriend Carley Woodward on the bus stop while she waited on the bus to go home.  Police state that the duo pulled up in a truck and immediately started attacking her.

While Woodward continued to beat on Henry, Thomas told his pitbull to attack.

“He was telling the dog, ‘get her, get her,” said Henry. “At first the dog scratched me on my lower back. And then he bit me.”

After beating on her and blacking her eye, Thomas and Woodward were able to take the victims purse and belongings, but they didn’t make it very far.

Police apprehended Woodward first and were on a two day manhunt searching for Townsend and his dog. Police later confirmed that they had arrested Townsend and that he and Woodward would be charged with robbery and assault with a deadly weapon among other charges.

“Instead of using a gun, they used their pit bull,” David Wyser, Marion County Chief Trial Deputy told ABC News.  “We’re alleging that this pit bull was used in lieu of say, for example, a knife or a gun and it becomes a deadly weapon under the statute.”

Prosecutors are calling that dog a deadly weapon, which makes the robbery and battery charges felonies. Both suspects are currently being held in the Marion County jail, but the dog still remains at large… Roof Roof!!!
