South Central newcomer Cozz returns with “Knock The Hustle,” the first new cut to release since news broke of him signing to J. Cole’s Dreamville Records via Interscope.

Produced by Que, who treated a smooth Jazz sample with boom-bap drums, the cut is an introspectively written gem from a young MC coming into his own. Very early on, it’s clear why Cole saw value in the West Coast native. “You can’t knock the hustle boy, it’s way too strong,” Cozz chants on the track.

The rapper bars echo the struggles of his life before emceeing, and while young, the thoughts he expresses are well beyond his years.

Look for Cozz to release his Cozz & Effect project later this year. In the meantime, stream “Knock The Hustle” below.
