This season is Derek Jeter’s last as he is set to retire. Jordan Brand honors the New York Yankees Captain with a commercial that features numerous celebrities, including Jay Z, Phil Jackson and Carmelo Anthony, saluting the future Hall of Famer.
Titled “RE2PECT,” in the spot the myriad of athletes, artists (see if you can spot Action Bronson) and celebrities (and even some Red Sox fans) tip their Yankee fitteds in ode to Jeter’s accomplishments. Interestingly, Jeter was the first athlete signed to Jordan Brand and has the longest tenure with the brand other than Michael Jordan himself.
The commercial, cooked up by Wieden + Kennedy, is set to air on national TV just before Jeter steps to the plate at Tuesday’s MLB All-Star Game.
But of course, the Internets already can watch it right now.
