False Start: 9 Rappers Who Had Their Release From Prison Delayed [Photos]

Take it from us, do not play with your freedom. Even when you think your get out of jail card is approved it can easily get revoked. Ask some of your favorite rappers.
After serving almost seven years for assault, Remy Ma was slated to be released from Bedford Hills Correctional Facility on July 31st. It was announced that the “Lean Back” rapper was denied due to to a disciplinary problem she encountered on July 21st.
Whether it is truly the Bronx native’s fault or not, the streets eagerly await her return. But this is not the first nor last time the release board pump faked on a Hip-Hop star.
So we present 9 rappers had to hit the town a little later than expected. We think Tony Yayo was his worst enemy when he got sent back to prison, let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

1. Ja Rule
As per a request from Ja‘s legal team his sentencing was delayed so he could settle a tax issue further delaying his release.
2. Shyne
Speculation from his lawyers and family that Shyne would be freed before he served his entire sentence used to flood Hip-Hop news headlines. Even though he served only nine out of ten years, fans expected him out a lot earlier.
3. Max B
Max sat in jail for months in 2006 before he got bail that Jim Jones only put up a small percentage of. He was denied a retrial last year.
4. Beanie Sigel
After being arrested for allegedly shooting someone in Philadelphia, Beanie was denied bail in 2003. He is currently serving time for failing to file taxes.
5. Tony Yayo
Yayo infamously got himself sent back to prison when he checked in with parole officer and a fake passport was found in his possession.
6. Lil’ Boosie
Boosie extended his prison time when he was allegedly caught trying to smuggle drugs inside.
7. T.I.
T.I. was allegedly punished and sent to a special housing unit and got extra time added to his sentence when he was caught in a sexual act with his wife Tiny during a 2011 jail bid.
8. Gucci Mane
Gucci has had his jail time extended on more than one occasion due to complications with other open cases and violating parole.
9. Meek Mill
Even though his team stated he would be free man in a matter of weeks, Meek Mill is still in prison for a probation violation.
