Tupac Shakur made a global impact by putting the pen to the pad, ultimately making him one of the most complex artists music culture’s ever seen. Here we have three poems written by the fallen scribe when he was 17-years-old, before rhyming became a profession.
Noisey unveiled the archival writings, which they received from Shakur’s first-ever manager Leila Steinberg. Titled “Things That Make Hearts Break,” “Cupid’s Smile II,” and “A Love Unspoken,” each pieces gives a little insight on where the eventual superstar’s mind was at a young age.
Back in June, Chuck D released a letter Shakur wrote him from prison. If anything, this reminds fans of what kind of man the world lost when the MC passed.
See the first of the trio of poems below and the remaining pair on the following pages. Leave your thoughts in the comments.
