The champion aesthetic the Golden Globes adheres to is far more prestigious than other award show out there. So much, it feels like the only the dryest and avant-garde seem to take home trophies.

Although there is definitely a pattern, check a collection of Golden Globe winning movies that actually don’t suck.

Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

Poor opportunists everywhere were given hope when this movie was made. As did filmmakers who wanted movies that subscribed to the same themes to be recognized.
