Last night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards happened, aired on a simulcast between TNT and TBS, and boy were there some epic moments!

With a diverse array of nominees, the stars were out in force to see who would be taking home one of the heaviest awards ever given in Hollywood. Birdman and Downton Abbey were early favorites, but the night would prove to have its fair share of surprises on-and-off the red carpet. From The Theory Of Everything‘s Eddie Redmayne championing ALS awareness enough to spark the #RedmayneCares hashtag to Angelina Jolie quietly winning a SAG, the 2015 gala found everyone in a celebratory mood.

For those who weren’t able to see who took home the top prize at Sunday’s festivities, you can see the winners in Film and Television on the following page. If you already know and just want to see the best highlights from this year’s SAG Awards, please scroll through the pages below.

Winners Eddie Redmayne (The Theory Of Everything) and Michael Keaton (Birdman) bask in their post-SAG Awards goal from earning their peers recognition as Hollywood’s best performers in the past year.

Upon receiving his SAG Award for Best Supporting Male Lead, actor J.K. Simmons offered some “real talk” in the form of dedicating his win to the actors who laid it all on the line. The touching acceptance speech showed off his charisma and his humility.

Fans of the popular sitcom, Modern Family, would be surprise to hear that the multi-award winning show didn’t win any SAG Awards. With a nod in the Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble Cast, the new-age comedy lost out to Netflix original, Orange Is The New Black.

Speaking of Orange Is The New Black, Dascha Polanco showed off her post-prison wardrobe on the red carpet of the 2015 SAG Awards. With a win for the cast, Ms. Polanco and co. are highly anticipated to return for Season Three.

Another highlight from the night was seeing everyone’s favorite Friend, Jennifer Aniston, turn back the clock in this chakra-calming couture dress. The Hollywood Reporter‘s latest cover act might not have taken home any SAG Awards, but she sure this stunt for all to see.

Two Oscar Award winners on the stage, and yet, all anyone could talk about was Lupita Nyong’o bringing out the glasses for the SAG Awards. We admit, the Kenyan actress does know how to tie fashion and funk together, but maybe she’s just nearsighted?!

The SAG Awards has been known as the cooler little brother to omnipresence Oscar, so when Frances McDormand took the stage, chances are it would be a highlight to cherish. The Olive Kitteridge performer, having won Best Actress in a Movie or Mini-Series, chose to champion watching “each other’s” movies, urged everyone to see Olive Kitteridge, and not-so-shamelessly plugged her after-awards performance.

Black Twitter shared a mixed reaction vibe to Lupita Nyong’o as she walked the red carpet. Arriving “fashionably late”, the Star Wars performer was taken to task for not walking the stroll “on time”. If anything, we believe fans of Lupita Nyong’o are getting antsy for her next role.

The 2015 SAG Awards also paid tribute to someone truly from a galaxy, far, far away. Debbie Reynolds has had a lifetime of career hits (Singing in the Rain with Gene Kelly is one) and she fondly went over them alongside her daughter, Carrie Fisher (Star Wars). Eagle-eyed cinephiles will remember her from the movie Halloweentown. From cracking jokes about old Hollywood hairstyles to the wonderful montage chronicling her career, Debbie Reynolds’ Lifetime Achievement distinction from the Screen Actors’ Guild was one moment not to miss.

The McConnaissance continued to make waves into public’s consciousness, as Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves stunted on everyone during the 2015 SAG Awards.

Actor and SAG Award winner, Kevin Spacey, was sorely missed as he did not attend the 2015 gala event. His win for Outstanding Performance by Male Actor in a Drama Series comes on the heels of House Of Cards Season 3 return to Netflix.

Eddie Redmayne’s tribute to ALS survivors upon winning the Best Actor distinction for The Theory Of Everything was moving and heartfelt. It lit up the hashtag #RedmayneCares in Los Angeles for a few hours after the 2015 SAG Awards ended.

History was made as Viola Davis (How to Get Away With Murder) and Uzo Aduba (Orange Is The New Black) won Outstanding Performance distinctions for Drama and Comedy. This was the first time ever the SAG Award has been awarded to two black women at the same time.

Not everyone on Black Twitter was checking out the 2015 SAG Awards, but when Lenny Kravitz donned the red carpet, a few mentions were made. Most comments had everyone wondering out loud where his patented oversized scarf was at. Shows that Lenny is cool no matter the weather.

In addition to having the Best Female Actor in a Drama, the cast of the Jenji Kohan-created Orange Is The Black won the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble. This win should bode well for those who are already fans of Netflix’s slate of original programming.
