Lil Wayne is a sport junkie so of course he’s in Scottsdale, Arizona for the Super Bowl. The Young Money rapper swung by the DJ booth at The Cultured Pearl to perform cuts from his Sorry 4 The Wait 2 mixtape on Friday (Jan. 30) night.
Lil Wayne took over the DJ booth with Don Cannon as he performed to a packed house for his Lil Wayne Live Pre-Super Bowl party at The Cultured Pearl on Friday night.
The rapper was all smiles as he performed cuts from his controversial new mixtape Sorry 4 The Wait 2 for the first time. The screaming party goers were treated to an energetic, lively performance of “Coco Freestyle”, “Sh!t”, “Fingers Hurting” and “Hot Nigga”, as Wayne kicked off his performance he professed “I’m about to shut this bitch down” which indeed he did. With his Young Money executive team Cortez Bryant and Mack Maine in tow, the rapper was in great spirits as he smiled for photos with fans.
Prior to Wayne’s performance Wack Flocka Flame hit the stage with a rowdy rendition of his hits as the crowd went wild, which included his girlfriend Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star Tammy Rivera, DJ Whoo Kid, NFL players and industry tastemakers. The line up also featured performances by up and coming R&B singer Rayven Justice, and YG‘s new artist rapper Slim 400.
