Spring Break 2015 will be a memorable one for Mississippi State star quarterback Dak Prescott, who, along with two other teammates, got jumped. And it was all caught on camera.
On Monday (March 9), Prescott and teammates Damian Williams and Torrey Dale attended a Waka Flocka Flame concert in Panama City Beach, Fla., a common ground for spring break shenanigans.
Footage of the incident shows Prescott, a 6’2”, 230-pound Louisiana native and a Heisman Trophy candidate for much of last season, taking the brunt of the beatdown. It’s unclear what sparked the confrontation, but it’s been reported that the Mississippi State players did not antagonize their aggressors.
Prescott sent word of his condition via a tweet that read, “Thanks for all the Concerns and Prayers! I’m okay and ready to get back to Starkville. Ignorance happens! Be safe on Spring Break!” Per photos, he suffered some lacerations, but needed no medical help.
As of last night, no arrests had been made. But that may quickly change, as a man who goes by @Str8fam_dwilson on Twitter boasted that he and some friends “slumped over” the Mississippi players. Needless to say that arrests may be forthcoming.
Hit the jump to see the culprits.
