Game Recognize Game
Reggie meets Deshauwn May, an aspiring agent, at a charity function. DaShawn tells Reggie that he is a huge inspiration, and wanted some advice. Reggie throws some generic advice Deshauws’s way, as Reggie is looking for Missy and more importantly, a client to introduce to Cam. Deshauwn introduces Reggie to his client, Jupiter Blackmon, who’s about to be a top-20 pick in the NFL. Jupiter and Cam link up and make plans to hit Onyx (a strip club) that night. Reggie doesn’t want to go but his wife insists, after being pulled into a conversation about the therapeutic effects of titties.
At Onyx, Deshauwn and Reggie discuss Jupiter’s deal and potential. Dehauwn used to be the local drug dealer and sold to Jupiter and his mother! he has drug money and is using that to fund his one man agency, but he has dreams of going legit. Reggie questions why Deshauwn would tell complete strangers about his background, but Deshauwn isn’t worried about discretion. Case in point: he sends Cam and Jupiter to the Onyx champagne room and doesn’t consider that anyone may try to photo/video them, as Reggie tells him. After Onyx, Jupiter and DeShauwn were headed to an “after-hours spot”, and wanted Cam to join. Reggie advised otherwise and Cam heeded his words, giving Jupiter Reggie’s number.
Baby On Board
M-Chuck tells Missy and Cassie about her new little sister. Missy is upset that M-Chuck encourages Brittany to have the child. They discuss the detriments of being a young mother, as Cassie all too well knows, having M-Chuck at 15. Missy says Brittany should know all of her options as she is just a child, and M-Chuck insists that Brittany will be fine. M-Chuck also says by Missy’s estimation, she wouldn’t be alive. She decides to have a birthday party for Brittany at Cam’s house.
During the party, Brittany’s jumping around in a jungle gym. M-Chuck tells her to stop as it could harm the baby, and Brittany isn’t concerned. M-Chuck mentions water breaking and Brittany asks if that can happen twice because it happened this morning. M-Chuck gets her out of the gym and rushes her to the hospital. Mary Charles holds an impromptu Maury session to let little Ling-Tsu know that he’s the father.
Sh*t Happens
Reggie gets home from Onyx and tries to get in bed with Missy, but she refuses as he smells like “shattered dreams and daddy issues”. Reggie heads to the shower when he gets a frantic call from Jupiter. He’s somewhere in the woods lost and needs help. Reggie goes to pick him up and wonders where Deshauwn went. Jupiter doesn’t know, but does know that Deshauwn gets him into too much trouble, and wants Reggie to manage him. Reggie tells him he needs to talk to Cam. Reggie discusses with Missy, who reminds him that this is what he eventually wanted to do in the first place. Reggie talks to Cam and offers him a role as silent partner in the new agency. Cam is all for it, as long as he’s not neglected.
Reggie and Jupiter meet with Deshauwn to break the bad news and offer him a buyout of percentages on Jupiter’s first 2 contracts. Deshauwn is livid, and tells Reggie that it won’t happen. Reggie lets him know that the deal will be off the table in 60 seconds and if he slanders them in any way during the deal, it would be rescinded. Deshauwn is a hustler, and he’s not stupid. He takes the deal.
Cam breaks out of his rut and lets the media know that the fans have always supported him. At the end of the night, when Reggie is usually there in person, he greets Cam with a text saying that they signed Jupiter. How will this affect Cam and Reggie’s relationship? Let’s find out next week!
