Orange is the New Black actress, Dascha Polanco wants to steer clear of the teenager she’s accused of attacking. Polanco claims 17-year-old accuser Michelle Cordona, is harassing (and provoking) her, so she’s moving out.
The 33-year-old mother of three wants to bounce from her apartment in New York City’s Washington Heights neighborhood, and hightail it out out of town. The move is planned for next month.
Reports the New York Post:
“[Cardona] tries to provoke her, and it happens on an ongoing basis. She mocks her and her daughter as they leave [their apartment]. She’s planning to move somewhere out of the city in February,” says a source close to Polanco.
The actress was charged with punching, scratching and pulling Cardona’s hair last summer. But Polanco’s lawyers took her harassment claims to court on Thursday.
Her lawyer Gerald Lefcourt said Cardona “has been hanging around the building in an intimidating way . . . we reported that not only to the police but to the judge.”
Our other source adds Cardona “has been smoking in front of her apartment. Dascha opens the door, and she’s standing there rolling a blunt. The young lady harasses her like crazy.”
Polanco never publicly confirmed the alleged beat down. Her lawyer claims to have recorded proof that Cordona is attempting extortion.
The matter heads to court in March.
