The celebrity website behind Nick Young’s video cheating confession claims Nicki Minaj was involved. According to the source, Minaj didn’t like Iggy Azalea throwing shade during an interview on Bravo’s Watch What Happen’s Live earlier in the month, so she leaked the footage.

Since, the Lakers have allegedly distanced themselves from Russell and have been slammed with a social media nightmare. Celebrity gossip writer “Fameolus”, who broke the story, joined the “HD Show” today with stunning new developments. Fameolous states that Iggy’s biggest hip-hop rival Nicki Minaj, was the one responsible for the video going viral.
“Somebody from Nicki Minaj’s camp a source, got the video and they sent it in. And they said here put this out because Iggy want to talk mess about Nicki Minaj, put this out and let her know what her fiance is doing… It had nothing to do with the basketball players.” said Fameolous
Raising even more questions could this all have been a play for Nick Young to get out of his relationship while working with Russell and Minaj? Fameolous responded with a simple “could be” and promised there is more to come.
Minaj has been overseas recently, performing in South Africa and Dubai last week. She hasn’t publicly responded to the video rumor, or Azalea’s WWHL interview.
Fameolous posted the video of Young telling on himself while being secretly recorded by D’Angelo Russell, a week before ESPN confirmed the tension between the Lakers teammates brought on by the leaked recording. At a press conference yesterday (March 30), a distraught-looking Young wouldn’t go into detail about the aftermath of being exposed for cheating, but said that he hadn’t yet spoken with Russell. “I think it’s something we really do need to sit down and talk about. That’s about it. What happened is what happened. We’ve got to work on it.”
For his part, Russell apologized and maintains that he never meant for the tape to get out (no word on why he was recording in the first place).
Azalea, who released a new video for her single “Team” today, got engaged to Young last June. The relationship is reportedly on the rocks over the cheating drama.
