Back in the 1990’s, the African American College Alliance street wear brand was an undeniable force with stars across all walks of entertainment rocking the gear. AACA is making its comeback and has launched a new Kickstarter campaign to bring the brand back to its earlier prominence.

For the youngins who don’t remember, African American College Alliance is a brand that featured the names of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, also know as HBCUs, such as Howard University, Florida A&M University, and several others. And as evidenced by the pictorial evidence we’re sharing on the following pages, AACA has been adorned by some of Hip-Hop’s best and brightest stars over the years.

More from the AACA’s Kickstarter:

African American College Alliance is a Street Wear brand that is focused on creating product featuring Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) but able to go toe to toe with top brands like Stussy, Supreme and Concepts. Our product is not designed for your typical College Bookstore, we focus on creating awareness of these wonderful Institutions to the Cool Kid in your neighborhood!!! Not only do we mix our 25 year Heritage with Current Style, but we do it while giving a 7 – 13% royalty back to the Historical Black Colleges and Universities that adorn our product.

Check out the gallery to see folks like Big Sean and EPMD rocking the AACA gear. Don’t forget to visit the AACA Kickstarter page for more information, including various perks and gifts for pledges made on their behalf.
