Since getting out of jail, Gucci Mane has been one of the hottest name out in the streets but his house arrest situation had limited the moves he was able to make, hence, preventing him from fully taking advantage of his momentum.

Well, the house arrest is officially a memory and Gucci is primed and ready to make his presence felt in the Hip-Hop game.

After celebrating his fully granted freedom by hitting up the strip club, Guwop checked in with Funk Master Flex and chopped it up about how he shed his pounds behind bars, living the sober life, and how those clone rumors impacted his everyday life.

1. Weight Loss

Gucci Mane’s weight loss regimen began when he was locked up. To relieve stress he’d run up and down some steps and ended up losing 80 lbs altogether.

Even though jail’s known to serve slop Gucci made some Goodfellas “money make ‘em shake” moves to eat healthy off the menu stuff.

3. Blessing In Disguise

Guwop feels had he not ended up doing a bid someone would’ve ended up dead because he was taking everything for granted. He calls the experience a blessing.

4. Living Clean

He’s gone straight edge and doesn’t do any drugs or drinking. He associates it with going to jail. Something he promises to never do again. Ever. Let’s hope he keeps that promise.

5. Young Thug

Young Thug was once signed to Gucci but La Flare ended up selling his contract. He told Thug he was doing it so he could end up being his own boss and reaching his potential. He’s still his man.

6. Jail House Rap?

He didn’t really record while he was locked up. The material that was released while he was locked up was off a hard-drive that had lots of pre-prison recorded verses.

7. Nicki Minaj

Even though he was once connected to Nicki Minaj, Gucci says they haven’t spoken since he got out and there are no plans for any future collaborations saying “that sh*t’s in the past.”

Unlike most Hip-Hop OG’s, Gucci is a fan of all the young artists like Lil Uzi, 21 Savage, and Pete Rock’s nemesis, Lil Yachty.
